SuperCharger / Dyno Update

To anyone who's been keeping track of me:

Today I put on my new Stillen Exhaust, and Dynoed.

275fwhp - Still lower than I think it should be with the MEVI, but better than before.

The good news is, that the 8hp (I Dynoed at 267fwhp before) carried throughout the powerband.

My TQ went from 224 peak to 243. That's 19 extra lbs of tq, also evident throughout the powerband.

My car feels like it pulls way harder now, especially when the MEVI kicks in. I also suspect my BOV, because it's blowing out at 4800-5000 RPM's.

Anyone know if that's normal on a SC?
Although I did 1 run with the BOV closed, and I got worse numbers, actually.

Oh yeah - The gains were made by adding a Warpspeed B-Pipe and Stillen Exhaust. (mtrai760's old one)

The best part was the +19 tq throughout the powerband.

You need to come for a ride, mtrai, It REALLY pulls now.

Hmmm....been thinking.

Who here has an SC, and who here has a Blitz BOV?
If so, where did you tap the BOV's vacuum into?

I'm tapped into the FPR right now, and i'm wondering if moving it would work. I did notice the leaking boost above 5k RPM, but also noticed it does not leak if there's no vacuum connected.

Which tells me it's more of a vacuum problem than a broken BOV problem.

Ideas?

Wasn't just the B-Pipe, it was the Exhaust too.

To be honest, I got the B-Pipe on a month or two ago, and didn't feel any real gains on the ButtDyno 2000.

But the Exhaust was something else. Not the 30hp gains some people think freeing up a boosted exhaust system gives, but pretty nice nonetheless.

It's pretty quiet outside of the car.

Inside the car, the drone makes you just want to drive faster.

personally, with the SC spinning, the CAI sucking air in, and the Stillen Exhaust, my car sounds awesome!

(Note: The V1 SC I have is so freaking loud anyway, noone's gong to care about my exhaust.)

I actually bought a 2000 Exhaust and traded it for this one.

I was wondering why not replace the BOV with a compressor bypass vavle (CBV). Sure it won't have that nice sound once you let off the gas, but I read that the BOV's don't really help our type cars till your over the 400hp mark. I've read about turbo se-r's that noticed better driveablitily with a CBV vs a BOV.

I PMed you a while back and told you to free flow that exhaust system. Your still missing that one piece and that should increase your numbers by 5+ HP. Dont believe me try it, it only costs $27.00 total shipped $35.00, all this air must exit some way some how.

If it is a test pipe, no way. WA State Emmissions fines are sickly high (in the thousands).

I'm not screwing with that.

Besides, it's bad for the environment.
I wouldn't even do it at the track.

As far as my BOV goes, I'm an idiot.

OF COURSE it leaks at about 4500RPM when I'm in PARK.

I've still got vacuum if I'm not in gear!

I should have had someone stand up there while I was actually Dynoing, but I'm guessing the shop has rules against that, for safety reasons.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure my BOV is working fine.
