Whats goin on? You'll probably be hearing a lot from me within the next 2 months. I currently drive a 1996 Acura Integra GSR sedan. Ive sort of grown tired of the "rice" scene and I just want a good car that I wont have to worry about when I go to college this next year. Ive already come to the conclusion that my next car will be a 1997-1998 Nissan Maxima SE 5speed. The car for the money impresses me. You get luxury and speed. This car I plan to build up very slowly, but I want to do it exactly right. Im not sure where to start on a maxima. For my integra it was pretty simple, engine modifications and suspension. I just need to know who some good manufacturers are for the aftermarket maxima parts. Im sure BrianV can relate to this story, but my car wasnt stolen. God that integra was lookin so clean. Anyway, Ill be getting the car within the next two weeks if everything works out. Any hints or anything I should look for when buying it would be greatly appreciated.

The most important thing if where you get your parts. After market or stock. I think courtesy nissan is the best to get anything. They are cheaper and the guys know exactly what you are talking about. I've ordered several things from them over the years and have never been disappointed. check out http://www.courtest-nissan.com order over the phone though

Good place to start is with the suspension

Front Strut Tower Brace (Courtesy, Cattman, $tillen)
Rear Sway Bar (Addco, $tillen)

Want to spend more? I'm sure you don't like the stock wheel gap. Throw some springs in (Eibach, H&R, Intrax, Sprint?) Eibach seems to be the stiffest) You will wear out the stock struts, hello koni.. at least for the fronts.
Brake pads - porterfield's seem to be popular for maximas.

On to speed..

Intake (JWT, $tillen, Place racing CAI)
Y-Pipe (Cattman, $tillen)
exhaust is up to you for sound

more speed? $tillen supercharger.

links for all are on my web page. good luck.
