are my shocks bad?

are my shocks bad?

every morning when i back out of my driveway, there is a loud clunk on the passenger rear tire that i hear i am barely doing 5 mph. also i hear it when i hit a bump. could the shocks be bad? fro:

Could be. Jack it up. Check for any oil around the piston/shock body. Do the bounce test, although this doesn't mean much.

How many miles?

It could also be one of a few rubber bushings and pieces in the rear shock assembly. But if you're going to remove everything and the miles are high, I'd just replace everything if I were you...

i have about 82,000 miles. i did the bounce test, it stopped bouncing after one bounce.
