How to Mod GLE Needles to be visible on SE White Faces? HELP!!!

I have SE white gauge faces, but my GLE needles are white as well. THe seller accidentally broke the Speedo Needle when removing them, but I still have the other needles intact. I wan tto put these faces on, but no junk yard will sell me the needles. They WILL sell me the whole gauge pod, but all I need is one needle. THe dealer will not sell just the needle, either.

So what can I do to my white needle to make it visible? The SE needles are white w/ black sides. I do not think that i can paint it well enough to replicate the white/black of the stock SE needles.

Where can I get translucent red or orange paint? I think that that is my only option... Any help that you guys can think of?

By the way, here is the link to my WTB ad:

I think you could use a marker or small paint brush to paint the sides of the needles black or red. This would make them visible on the white face and still have the illumination function properly at night.

Another option would be to paint the top of the needle with a couple of coats of "clear red" paint. This would give you red needles in the day that glow red over the white faces at night.

I painted mine with a silver paint pen, and then used a Sharpie to give it red tips. The red tips show at night, the silver paint looks cool during the day.

Sharpie markers work great. Leave the bottom /underside unpainted or your needle will not light up as brightly.....ask me how I know....

Sharpies work great and they look great. You will need to go over it several times.

Good luck..

I did the same thing when I put the white gauge face on my GLE gauges.
