Max without AC!?!
Is it possible to bypass the AC compressor on a 97 SE and get a belt that runs everything but the AC??????? If it is possible, what size (part number) belt do I need to get?
Thanks ahead for any info on this subject (I'm trying to save $1000)!!!

Yup, I belive the VQ has 3 seperate belts, unlike most domestic that have one "surpintine" belt. There is a belt for the ac, one for the p/s, and one for the alternator. Oh, and the water pump is also on the ps or alt belt. I belive the ac belt is only on the ac unit.

I thought the alternator and AC were driven by the same belt
