painting place racing CAI

Custom Maxima is out of blue intakes right now so I was wondering if anyone has ever painted their CAI with that auto zone high temp spray paint? Would this work if you did it right??

I just got my used PR CAI from Jer, and as he described, it does need a little sprucing up. I don't see the need to use high temp paint, so I'll just be using some Krylon primer, then grey spray, then a couple coats of clear. Should come out pretty nice.
