How many 4th Gens here have hit 100K ??
i hit over 100,000. well actually, my mom did. she gave me car with over 104000 miles. now its at 106000.
and i have a question. i recently had my car in to Tynan's Nissan for repair of the EGRC solenoid valve and knock sensor and belt and transmission flush for about $900. is there any way I can look at it to see if they actually did the work? i know they replaced the belt cuz in the morning, it dont squeal anymore.

I have 164K on my 96 SE 5-sp. I had to replace the O2 sensor at 36K (just under the warranty wire). My tranny cracked around 100K (don't know why). I replaced it with a used one and have had no problems since. I had the front brakes replaced around 120K.
I just went to have Nissan do their free 100-point inspection (If there is ever an opportunity to find something wrong, wouldn't it be a free inspection?). The only thing they found was a cracked CV-joint boot.
I really only have three other issues right now. First, the brake light has been flickering for the last few months. I have plenty of pad and fluid. Second, the shifter doesn't seem to be as crisp. Perhaps its time for a new clutch (any suggestions?). Third, it seems to have lost a little power. I am still much faster than most on the road, but I can tell a difference. Also, it is a little cranky starting in cold weather and it burns a little oil.
While the dealer was doing an inspection, I test drove an Altima V6 AT. It drove and rode nice. It wasn't as powerful as I was expecting (perhaps because of the automatic). This car was a considerable upgrade over the older Altimas. However, for $28K, it wasn't much of an upgrade from my current ride.
I would need a really good reason to consider getting rid of my Maxima. If I do get rid of it, I would probably get a newer Maxima with nearly the same features.

. I've replaced transmission input shaft bearings, a clutch, a couple cheap sensors and I think that's it, knock on wood.

The most expensive work done to the car other than mods has been having to replace two bad sensors. I couldn't be happier with my max and was just wondering how many others have dropped as many miles on their maximas as I have. It's obviously been my every day commuter but I used to stretch her legs and she's still kickin strong.

damn, i have a 95 with 102k. I hated going over 100k! Does the value of the car really go down?
I think there is a member on this board with around 300k

If I can swing it, when I get a truck I'll try to rebuild the VQ.
