Clutch Cable

Your clutch cable may be going bad (sticky clutch), I've had that problem before.

don't change the clutch unless it feels like it needs to be changed. It's an expensive repair and there is no reason to do it until it is necessary. People have gotten way over 100k miles on the stock clutch. I think mine could be stock and I have 121k, grabs well but something is making is really stiff

I couldn't be happier with my max and was just wondering how many others have dropped as many miles on their maximas as I have. It's obviously been my every day commuter but I used to stretch her legs and she's still kickin strong.

OH yeah, almost forgot running low 13's.

Re: How many 4th Gens here have hit 100K ??

157,545 miles.
@152k clutch went out.
@157K transmission 5sp died
just had a rebuilt one placed (2400$ ).

Just got a G35coupe 6MT

My max did great for 150k miles, I was bragging about it to my brother who Jeep was always in the shop. Then the clutch started slipping and the transmission locked up and snapped, blowing the diff and eating up some of the gears. I had the tranny replaced and hope to see if I can reach 250k. I have no mods on my max but am thinking about a turbo or supercharger, if my max dies, it's gonna go out with a bang
