How long does the oe 4G clutch last when it starts slipping?

Mine's been slipping for about a week now. The ACT is already on its way from Pablo through UPS. I'm just wondering how long my stock clutch will last now that it slips quite often.

When accelerating briskly, it ALWAYS slips right after the shift now. And when accelerating in 5th on the highway at about 120km/h, it slips too.

Should I get the ACT in asap, or do I have like a couple months to play with?

I would not wait too long

The biggest problem I see is that the heat from the slipping clutch could damage the flywheel -- warpage, surface craking, etc.

You could drive it as is for quite awhile if you baby it.

if your clutch is slipping why chance it get stuck and pay a tow truck to tow your vehicle to a shop. Why not install it right away and chance the fact that you may get stuck somewhere and spend that money on a tow truck vice installation. You still have to resurface that FW. Take it easy until you get your new clutch and install it as soon as you get it.

Why risk it otherwise? I mean is there any benefit your seeing to wait?

No benefit what so ever. It's just that I'm waiting on the clutch to arrive, and then have to get it installed.

Hopefully, I'll have it on by next weekend (not this coming one, but the next one).
