Has anyone used "Fram Sure Drain" in place of their drain plug for quick oil changes. I got the product at Auto Zone for $12.99. You replace your drain plug with it and next time u need an oil change, u just unscrew a protective cap, attach a hose to it which unlocks Sure Drain and out comes the Oil. I am a bit concerned though, because sure drain protrudes a little more than the original drain plug and also how long does it take for all the oil to drain during an oil change (the opening seems kinda small) BTY--the protective cap stays on at all times to prevent accidental unlocking or leaking.

AHHH! I hate those things! They drain SOOOOO freakin slow, and break easily! I'd return it and get your money back, they are not worth the hassle!

my dad has one on his Tahoe... it might be a different style though. but we've never had any problems with it... and as long as the oil is a little warm, it drains almost as fast.

I did my first Oil Change after installing Fram Sure Drain--IT WORKED GREAT!!! The engine was warm and the oil came right out--wasn't slow and i didn't even need a wrench. Although it does help to take off the orange tubing because the tube spins with the whole assembly.

I don't know about that product, but I think it helps to make your oil flow faster if, after opening your drain plug, you leave the oil cap off of the valve cover up top as well. Make sure to not let anything fall in while you're draining either.

I read about this on someones site, I think it was a fellow Org. member. After letting the oil come out of the sure drain plug and watching no more coming out, he uscrewed the whole assembly and got a good amount of old oil in a measuring cup. The amount was not huge, but enough for me to decide that I did not want to buy this product.
