another satisfied budget y-pipe owner !

ok - first of all - " no bees in a can " sound - just nice growl
install was very easy ( lift and power tools came in handy )
gains >>>>>> very noticable pull after 3500 rpm's !!!!!
for that price 160 shipped to Your door for free it is a truly
"best bang for the buck "
and now the check engine light - the only code that came out was
0305 EGR temp sensor or circuit fault - is it becouse there is no more pre-cats or is it something else ????
and also after reseting the CEL , took it for a spin and the light
started to blink at me at very irregular order - long series and short also - what could be the reason for blinking during driving ???
also - I decided to pull the codes again and I got 0505 ( everything ok )
anybody else experience similar to mine ???
thanks
Nick

serched ...............

(quote)
This is explained in the Owner's Manual.

Service Engine Soon - Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL)

If the MIL comes on steady or blinks while the engine is running, it may indicate a potential emission control problem
this does not help in anyway
anybody else with blinking CEL during driving ???
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
Nick

When I replaced my exhaust a few weeks ago, I had no CEL lights at all.

my y-pipe is throwing 0305 egr temp sensor

ok - every time i drive her hard check engine light comes on - i pull the same code over and over 0305 egr temp senor
i think it's becouse of the increased flow in the egr system
or maybe i need new sensor
anybody out there with similar problem ????
thanks for all help
Nick

I replaced mine just this past Saturday as well and we even had to buy two universal Bosch O2 sensors because the last moron to work on them cross threaded both in. I was afraid of a CEL, but luckily none ever came up. I drove my baby hard initially to make sure I wouldn't have any problems doing so. No problems so far and I TOTALLY agree that the Budget Exhaust Y-pipe is THE best bang for the buck.

EGR

how many miles and how old is your max?

guess you never changed EGR?
They go bad usually after 130,000-150,000 of wear. Replace them. And you could have done O2 sensors when putting exhaust back
