Ive decided that i want those cool blue xenon (I think that's what they are called) bulbs and replace my old ones.

My problem is, in searching old posts in need of some direction, im confused on which to get. I have a 96 Max.

Also ive heard that it looks much better if i replace all the bulbs (with the exception of the turn signals?) with the blue kind.

So basically,...what do I get?

Any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

my setup and opinion

i have the sylvania cool blues, I got for $18 a pair at Autozone on sale, in the headlights. I'm happy with them, had them for 3 years, no problems, really nice white. I left everything else stock, but rewired the bumper-lights to have the sidemarker lense blink. I had ion bulbs in the fogs, but switched to normal after blowing two sets of bulbs in about two years. I got twenty bulbs for $10 on ebay. Right now, I'm on a quest to find those hyper yellow fog light bulbs. The reason for this and my stock bulbs is to enhance the appearance of the headlights and to make the lighting safer in snow/rain/fog. If you have blue everything, your headlights don't look as cool. Secondly, have you seen all blue lights in the rain...it's pretty crumby.

That all depends on how much you want to spend. I bought the 9004s (head lights) at pepboys, the cool blue ones. they are ok but i will change them. If you are going to get the hyper white bulbs, you might want to put in a harness to handle more power, so the socket wont melt on your heads. Thats only if you go for 80 or more watts. Anything less then that you will be fine. The xenon are a good choice. And yes change all the bulbs to hyper ones. It will look much better. The oem bulbs look very yellow compared to the hyper whites. Are you getting this? Email me if you need help.

Eurolites Burn Out?

The only possible beef im having about the Eurolites is that i heard that the headlights burn out in 3 months or so.

The Price is very hard to beat.

Tell me if this is correct

Headlights -- #9004

Clear Front Bumper Lenses (are those the turn signals? where i have my clear corners?) -- #194

Corner Lights

I respectfully disagree. I have had Eurolites in my Max for over a year now without a problem. I stuck with stock wattage though. If you decide to go with a higher wattage definitely upgrade your wiring harness. Try these places:

I have the "Xenon-charged Blue/White" bulbs by Eurolights. I am very happy with them. The light is very consistent and not rainbow colored like really cheap bulbs.

I got the Hyper Industries bulb in there now....Love the white bright light. I got the higher wattage. They told me I did not need to upgrade my wiring. Any thoughts on this? I love all the extra light it throws in front of the car....probably better than most fog lights even. If anyone can tell me about the upgrade in wiring I would appreciate it.

A lot of people here have been getting away with running higher wattage bulbs but there are some that have burnt out there wires or fuses due to the extra wattage the bulbs require. If you want to risk it that's your right but if you want to achieve optimal performance from your higher wattage bulbs upgrade your wiring harnesses.
