Am I sick ? stock wheels and orange turn sigs look good

Something must be wrong with me, but once again I want to get rid of my clear corners, and put on my stock-looking 16" 300zxTT wheels , or even just my stock 15's if I could get traction...

I'm burnt out on clear-corners like i was a year ago... and I just can't find any wheels I like anymore - I think my stock-looking Z wheels look crazy good,

this all scares me - anyone else ever feel like this?

Personaly, I dont think it matters! The maximas come looking good off the lot! But some people like to make it look better. My car right now is mostly stock and I think it looks good. But no your not crazy.. your only crazy if you dont like maxima'z

I'm not a big clear corner freak like a lot of people, but I do think clears look better on a darker car. I still have my stock orangeys, but it doesn't look bad to me, esp on the beige. Though one's cracked, so...clears sometime in the future, prolly.

I'm real simple on wheel tastes. I like the Z wheels, if I'm thinking of the right 5-spokes. Whatever you like, man...whether or not you're crazy is besides the point

Your car looks pretty nice with the clears in my opinion.. I don't think I could ever go back to the stock corners, but do what makes you feel best about your car.

I dont feel that way about the orange cause I really dont like it on my black max, but I do like the stock SE wheels I have. The 5 spokes to me look a lot better than some peoples aftermarket rims.

Put Amber bulbs in the corner lights

Take out the super whites from your signals and put Amber in there also

The orange corners will make your headlights appear "Whiter" and the matching corners down on the bumper make the car look really hot at night.

I still have my oem wheels and orange lights. I like the stock look. Hell, I'm even cruising around with the 4x4 ride height.

well i don't think the maxima looks hot off the lot. it's too rounded up front! reminds me of a teddy bear almost. i'm hoping to get a stillen lip to enhance it's "aggressive" look a bit.

I like the all amber look as well. My custom side markers, cornering lights, and blinkers all have amber and i think it looks cleaner then a mess of blue/hyperwhite lights.

As far as wheels go , cant beat a 5 spoke

I think the stock SE 16s look very good. Perfect match for the car.

Orange bumper lights, on the other hand, do not look good. Everytihng else is clear so the bumper lights should be too. I do have orange bulbs in mine so they're orange at night, but in they day they're clear and look 100000x better.

I have to say that the 95-96 stock Maximas aren't much to look at. The front end change on the 97-99 models looks much better, especially the SE model with fog lights.

I love the look of my 98 SE and I can't really see how adding the pricey Stillen kit makes much of a difference.

The only thing I want on my car is larger stock rims. Same five spoke design, just bump it up a couple of inches.

I love my stock Max. (sans stock orange lights of course. I have a deep forest green paint job).

I like the half clear / half orange setup some guys have gone with. It seems to look really good on silver/beige/white Maximas.

agreed

i think a kit makes all the different in the world. I have the stillen front and ionic sides and rear and it gives the car a whole different look

The only thing I want on my car is larger stock rims. Same five spoke design, just bump it up a couple of inches.
couldn't agree more. if they made the stock SE rims in 18s or 19s I'd be on them in a minute.

EDIT: red/clear tails are also a must

I like the clear corners, but think totally clear TAIL light assemblies look stupid on most cars. They work fine on some, but on most they don't do a thing except make me cringe.

Replacing the yellow part of 4th gen taillights is fine, but the whole thing is just too much.

Yup, a package of 2 at K-Mart is like 49 cents. Try it, don't cost you much, besides you just might like it!

I personally like the clear corners better. It gives the car style.
Amber bulbs look good. I like the blue though because it makes the car look colder. Particularly if it's white.

I just put my 16’s back on for the winter and I feel like I just drained my car of its personality. I’d probably look better driving it if I aged myself 15 years, put 2 kids in the back, tucked my shirt in, and put a “MY child is an honor student” bumper sticker on it. (Insert disclaimer about everybody being entitled to their own opinion)

thats what I did with my lights, amber's in the turnsignal and the side lights next to the headlights- head lights look mad bright now with the sylvania silverstars. would i get anymore light at night if i put hyperwhite bulbs in those side lights instead of the amber ones?

I wouldn't imagine that it would be anything noticeable. Maybe if you did that rewire thing that people do to give it more wattage it would be brighter with the white. You are talking about the clearance lights right? (The ones next to the headlight)

yeah with the rims on it really can change the look of a car completely. Then once you go back to stock it is just well ... stock.

Sweet 16's

The worst part is that I look like a ricer b/c I still have my Home Depot grill. And because I have a pretty quiet exhaust, to the untrained eye it probably looks like I have a bolt-on tip. All of this sitting on some sweet 16-inchers. I can't wait for spring.

my clearance bulbs (white) are REALLY bright and illuminate the corner/side of the road and trees while im driving. though i want to go with orange corner bulbs i cant imagine losing that visibility (i have to watch closely for deer)

i got my car back from body shop with my orange lens and stocker 16's on.. i was diggin it until i put my clears and 17 back on.

Heck yeah! My Maxima doesnt look stock at all but Im always thinking about putting the stock rims, emblems, and everything else back on it. I like the whole sleeper concept. Itd be fun to take out unsuspecting cars on the road or the track.

Haha I like my orange turn signals just fine, thank you. I don't mind people who have orange bulbs inside their clear signals, but the clear bulbs? Invisible at night and very dangerous.
