Important ? About My Y-pipe

hey, i went to the junkyard last week to test my luck and find any maxima's. fortunantly there was this souped up 96 white maxima that was in a major wreck. as i looked under the car i found the car had a y pipe. (im not sure by who tho, i think its warspeed) but anyways i got the owner of the junkyard to sell it to me for a really cheap price, however as the guys were reomoving it instead of unbolting all the bolts they cut the end of it (the part that connects to the cat)
actually they cut it right after the "legal for racing owners" label. my question is... is it ok if i get one of the performance shops to install it? i think they might have to weld it together. and how much will it cost? thanks!!

Any muffler shop can weld it...but...

1. Make sure the Flex Pipe was not cut/punctured in any way.

2. Make sure the Flex Pipe is not "Shrunken" on the inside.
