Starting problems.

Starting problems.
Man just yesterday my car started having problems starting. Like I turn the ignition and it just cranks and cranks and finally catches and starts? So I went and got a new battery and changed my fuel filter. Still the same deal. I have heard of problems with intakes and the MAF: could this be causeing my car to hard start? Also today I tried to start it and it did the same thing so I gassed it and I heard this popping sound from the intake, btw I have a JWT pop and a frankencar midpipe. This is very worriesome to me as my car is a 99 with 57k and there souldn't be any starting problems with a car this new. THanx for the info.
