Aluminum Kit over OEM Woodgrain?

I bougth one of them fake aluminum dash kits off of ebay. Got it in and it honestly doesnt look bad. Looks exactly like aluminum. Now, Heres what I did. I installed it all. Now I can see some spots where the woodgrain sticks out. Exspecially on the Door Switches. Anyone know of a way I can cover that up with black some how, or Something I can do to resolve this matter. I feel like I really messed up here. IM like REAL ANGRY right now . I like it and all but the woodgrain sticks it out makes it look, CHEESY. What should I do? If anyone can help me out on this, I would really appreciate it. Thanx.

Nick

Man I dont know, I wish you would have told me ahead of time, I would gladly have traded my oem black stuff for your woodgrain. If you can take the aluminum off without f***ing it up then I will trade you, I have another car I can drive in the mean time. Just an idea.

you can take off the pieces and then cover up the wood part with some kind of washable black paint
