Turn the car on if you see an abs light turn on then you have it, I dont have it and no light turns on.

That's the simplest test.

I'm 99.999% sure you wont have it...but check anyway...

GXE...no ABS

unless someone wanted to pay extra $1000 for them.

chances are no. and chances are you probably have speed limiter that stops gas at 115 mph.

I have 95 GXE auto and I don't have ABS.

you could also check to see if there are any fuses in the abs slots in the fuse box

Or slam on the breaks and if they lock up, you don't have ABS.

People, it's not that hard.

Check by the rear tire (either side), the gap between the passenger door and the tire

If you have ABS, there will be 2 brake lines, one at the top of the trailing arm and one at the bottom.

If you don't have ABS, there will only be 1 brake line, at the bottom of the trailing arm.

Also, if you have a GXE 5-speed, you do not have ABS-- the only factory option to get ABS on a GXE was to buy an auto, then buy another factory option for ABS. Nissan didn't make GXE 5-spds with ABS.

Check the 2nd picture. The upper line in the picture (the smaller one) is only present WITH ABS.

Even easier - Look on the master cylinder for the yellow/black "ABS" sticker. I've got ABS on my '93 300ZX but not on my '95 GXE. Kinda wish I had it on the GXE as I eventually want to pass it on to my daughter...

ok so you're saying that when you start the car... and the ABS yellow light lights up for a while then goes away... means you ABS??
