I have

I paid about 12.99 + shipping for mine off of ebay and haven't had any problems with it. I think the company was autobacs1 or something like that.

I got mine from *directcarparts* for $24 shipped. It fits perfectly, and it's a high quality polished aluminum bar.

I agree with your philosophy on saving money on mods where you can - I just installed the Brian V Poor Man's home made intake for $22.95 for the cone filter.
I plan on getting the Addco RSB and Budget Y pipe next.

cheap strut bar

Yeah I have the directcarparts one also, for 24 shipped. Easy on and looks nice. I don't know what you get for the extra 100 or so from Stillen.

Strut tower nuts: short bolting

I got the autobac one on ebay for $26 shipped as well. My question is that the flanges that come with the bar are so thick and curved in the center to the point that the three nuts that hold it and the top of the strut to the body don't go all the way onto the bolt. This is called short bolting, it's a problem, and there's a pic and description here:

http://www.boltscience.com/pages/shortbolting.htm

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?
