I search and search...and search. This is becoming as debated as suspension (maybe not that much). Quick question, I am getting now brake pads, but can't decide and my head is about to explode. Want Quiet, (= must be ceramic?) Also to last some time, and not dusty. Don't want to do a # on the rotors either.
Finally easy on the wallet.
Axxis, Stillen, poterfields, bremos, raybestos.
Cheapest place to get them?
I don't go to the track, be for Daily drivin'

What sites have you searched already?

 

I got mine from Autozone and like them a lot. They are PS pads , I forget the full name right now but they are the same ones that Deezo always reccomends. I would get them again.

I love Porterfields. They are quiet, last pretty long too. However, they do dust a lot.

There aren't many pads that are slient, last forever and don't dust. Something there has to give.

Jeff92SE - I searched the org mostly. The only sites I ventured off to is pricing, and even then it was primarily stillen and axxis are my 2 quotes

SUDz - I don't think we have autozone where I live SE PA. I kind of wish we did, all we have is pepboyz, and having only been into autozone once in Florida, I don't know if they are better or worse (they seem to be better with Max stuff)

And I heard that about porterfields (that they dust), I actually think you said it in another post, but I forget which ones you were talking about.

I thought the axxis were metal masters and the stillens were something completely diffrent, correct me if I'm wrong, this is the 1st time I'm dealing with Maxima pads and aftermarket pad companies.
So, he says Axxis Metal master?

 

Last I remember hearing, Stillen just re-sold the MM pads. I've never bought them though, so I don't know for sure.

Raybestos QS Ceramics are great, quiet and very low dust plus they are lifetime warranty and are fine for your rotors.

 

Yeah, That is what I really want I think. I hear they are great. Prices on Stillen and Axxis are 5 dollars diffrence...?? I need to look into Rays, know prices and where to get them from 4 a good price?

 

I bought my Raybestos QS pads at Pep Boy. About $56 for fronts and $46 for rears. The warranty has been changed to lifetime for defects only, not wear as it used to be. They are quiet and dust very little as compared to OEM pads. If I had to do it all over I would install them again! I have about 2500 miles on them.
