99 SE-L 5 speed looking for an even drop
i've been searching and searching and searching for the past month about suspensions.. yes suspensions..and i will continue searching. i've gotten feedback from some of the more knowledgeable org members, and people from slammed to 4x4 rides..still, i have no solid facts.
if anyone that is willing to lend me a helping ear here it goes.. i have a 99 SE 5 speed. looking for an even drop.. would prefer H&R look and ride quality but from i keep hearing is that due to my MT the front end being lighter than AT i will get, and i've seen, a big gap in the front.. so ride quality is out the window.. next choice up would be eibach, mainly for the name and reputation.. i've yet to see a 99 MT with them on. From the set ups i've seen the drop looks good and even all around...i just don't know what the outcome would be with my MT and front end gap.. i know that 95% of spring set-ups are not perfectly leveled, but i would like the closest thing to leveled
Springs like B&G, progress, or even sprint or intrax i would be sacrificing more than i would like to..
any feedback would be greatly appreciated.. thanks E.P.

Even all around is difficult. Just when you go lower make the front springs lower or sometimes the front will look higher than the back. And get adjustable struts and that should help a little more in the leveling area.

Coilovers are the key to adjusting height to your liking but can be rough even with different shocks/struts...but I can recommend MaxSpeeds over H&R cause it is more of an even drop in my case and did not sag in the back like the H&R...and the price is good as well.

even drop
i have a'99 5 sp, and put Intrax springs on. It's a 2" drop all athe way around. I've had it dropped for more than two years now, and it it still even all the way around. It looks sweet. I would recommend the Intrax. H&R's are good as well, but I'm very happy with look, feel, and performance of my Intrax.

Eibachs on a 96 I30 MT.
very close to even. My front is .1" higher than the back. I have a 3 finger gap in the front, my fingers barly rub the tire and fender when I stick them in there. In the back it is a little tighter, My fingers touch the tire and the fender at the same time. You see what I am saying?
I can see that it is slightly different. I have asked countless people if they can see the difference, but no one can.
