What is the stock hp of an auto?

I know the auto tranny absorbs some of the hp from the posted 190hp. So does anyone know what the hp of a stock 95 maxima is? I just got dynoed and wanted to know really how much I gained.

Thanks - Chad

Stock autos typically put about 150 to the ground on a Dynojet 248C I believe.

Rough estimate that tranny will take up about 20% on the auto. What did you dyno at?

My max hp was 171.2 and my max torque was 179.5. All I have performance wise is y pipe, frankencar, and magna flow muffler. So if 150 is stock then would you say 21 hp is a good increase with those mods?

Thanks - CHad

I would say it sounds pretty close to where it should be.
150 (stock) + 15 (ypipe) + 2 (muffler) + 5 (Intake) = 22HP so it should be right on average.

I keep wanting to get mine done too. But I keep telling myself to wait until the mods I have at my house are finally installed.

I am hoping with :
MEVI
Y pipe
Test Pipe
B Pipe
UDP
2K2 Muffler

I will see some decent numbers.

Five speed. I am hoping the 200+ range , just to see if I can get it there for now.

If a 5-spd with those mods could get FWHP=200+, & you use 15% loss though the drivetrain, that would equal roughly 235hp at the crank. Is that 15% a good estimate?

I plan on putting my car on the dyno around late Jan. or Feb.

15% seems about right. It is the maxima.org standard for 5 speed tranny HP loss.
