Please help - new o2 sensors ,and still getting 0901,0902

Oh well my max is not healthy anymore- yesterday I replaced two front o2 sensors ( previous were cut and respliced, don't ask why)
I started the engine, than turned it off and reseted ECU
and now the codes are coming back 0901-upstream oxyges sensor heater fault(right bank) and 0902 downstream oxygen sensor heater or circuit fault - the weird thing is - the Haynes says "always clear codes from PCM before starting the engine for first time, after installing a new electronic emission control component,
the PCM will also record new trouble code if a new sensor is allowed to operate before the parameters from the old sensore have been erased"
at this time I tried reseting the ECU many times and codes are back again , also did search ,checked fuses ,connections,etc....
does anybody had similliar experience????
please provide any information !!!
greatly appreciate any help
V/R

I did extensive search and came across - to much antiseize will throw codes due to antiseize being not conductive !!!!
is that possible ????
I did use a " LOT" of antiseize an those 02 sensors !!!
somebody please help !!!!!

You said you put too much anti-seize on? This could be throwing the codes if you got it on the sensor itself. Yes, putting too much anti-seize will be picked up from the sensor throwing the codes. You only need to coat the threads lightly. O2 sensors are very sensitive to this compound. What you could do is try to pull the sensors out again and clean them off real good. And, reset the ECU BEFORE you start the car. If the CEL stays on, drive the car around a bit. Sometimes this helps. The car goes thru it's cycle and sometimes it may turn off itself.

Did you use the OEM sensors? Are the codes going away and coming back . FYI when you clear the codes the CEL should go away and when the engine is started you shouldn't have a CEL. If it does go away and come back while your driving it might be too much antiseize.

thanks for replay

Yes - i did use OEM ( bosch from autozone)
just like I stated before - light comes on - I reset the ECU start the car - light is gone, than i turn off the car and start it again light comes on right away !!!!
I'm hoping that the problem is too much antiseize !!!!
kind of makes sense- 02 sensor has three wires - 2 for heater, and one for actual signal + whatever ground ---- hence no ground - no signal , but why codes 0901,0902,0101 ??????? all these codes pretain to o2 heater circuit ,not the 02 signal !!!!
still confused...........

Nick

could it be something else besids:
o2 sensor itself - they are brand new
connections and wiring - already checked
fuses - aleady checked
maybe some kind of realy or something else

or should I just drive the car for few days and see what's up ???

but for sure I will wipe off the "EXTRA" antiseize
