What is a Y-PIPE?
The y-pipe is the part of your exhaust system right before your catalytic converter. There shouldn't be any problems with it. The only problem is that the stock y-pipe holds your car back.
Do a search. You'll probably be able to find out more info.

I have used the search, it mainly talks about the y-pipe as being a good mod. No explanation of what a y-pipe is. Thanks guys for your info.
I'm considering purchasing a y-pipe, however, I hope I will not regret it due to the pipe giving me annoying problems.
Cheers

only you val...
the Y pipe is what comes after the headers and basically connects the headers to the catalytic converter...its just that pipe in btwn, its pretty long...the reason its called a Y pipe is cuz theres two seperate sets of headers on our car(front and rear cylinders) and the Y pipe connects to both parts and comes together as a Y and goes back to the cat
the reason the Y pipe frees up alotta lag, is because it removes two precats that were in the stock Y pipe and its also a bigger pipe to allow more free air flow
