Stage 3 clutch creating problem.... need advice

i have a stage 3 clutch by unorthdox racing.. in my car for past 10 months or so, i had my first race at NJ raceway and it was disappointment, because i realized that my clutch wont engaged with the transmission after 6 rpms. Now my question... is it normal ? i mean i was so disappointed its not even funny.. would it be the same thing if i install a new transmission ? in daily driving the car is close to fine sometimes its hard to go in 3rd gear but overall you can drive the car with no problems.. anybody knows anything about it.. please enlighten me.. Thanx in advance

If stage 3 clutch is a 6 puck clutch then hell no you should not use it on the street. Your tranny will go bye bye soon.

Um, I think the big issue is no one else on here has really used an unorthodox clutch, at least not that Ive heard of, until you that is... IMO it's not a proven product, and if you've had problems with yours, that's even worse. Could be like centerforce clutches... some cars they work good on, but on the Max they just plain suck! What do you mean about the 6k rpm? Will the car not go over 6k, or does the clutch slip over 6k? Either way, sounds like somethings wrong. get rid of it quick and get an ACT clutch, and watch your problems go away...

Sure thing, you want to get the ACT NM1-HDMM, that is the street disc and pressure plate for the Maxima, it also comes with a new throw-out bearing and alignment tool. If your looking for a good price, search for jhans114, that's who I got my ACT from, great guy with good prices, last I saw was around $320+ shipping, but don't quote me on that. As far as the clutch goes, Ive heard of different experience, but I had clutch chatter for about the 1st 1500 miles or so, but I know of others who have said they never had chatter. it's still a great clutch no matter what.
