Almost Lost Control of the Max!
Almost Lost Control of the Max!
i wanted to test my cars skills on conering and i wasn't happy with it today. i drifted on a turn ( rear end wipped out) i mean their was bumpes and thats y i think i almost lost it i was only going 40 on a sharp turn. u guys think a rear sway bar would help that much??? casue now i don't trust the max that much
i got yoko avid H4 all around.

get some true coilovers with more suspension travel- no bottoming out= good hasndling.. sortaan RSB will fix some problems but it can also create some new ones
I've recently been drifting in the rain and have noticed that the rear sway bar does help in keeping the car body from rolling, which would usually cause me to roll a little as I was steering, which would then lead to oversteering. My leather seats don't have any grip and I get to sliding in the seat some too
So, I think the rsb helps. I was gonna say suspension first but see that you're all ready lowered - that is the biggest improvement imho

Do you keep the rear tire pressure the same as the front?? Try putting the fronts at 37 psi and keep the rears at 30-32. The rears don't need that much pressure b/c most of the car's weight is in the front.

ahh..the ol' multi-link beam showing its weakness... I spun out at 120MPH no thanx to it, and the sh!tty tires I had on at the time. (I ended 'only' cracking a rim on the curb and damaging a pillow ball mount off the coilovers. Kinda deformed the stut tower housing too.)
Experiment with your tire pressure like DW said....
The RSB might not have helped in ur case as you still hit those bumps in the turn...If the tire pressure is too hard, it could loose its grip. RSB mainly eliminates body roll.
Invest in a good suspension setup. Do a search on this as it is a highly discussed topic. I have cattman gen II coils but its completely dead. (and makes SOO much noise) IMO KYB AGX was not meant for coilovers, the more you lower the ride height the more you descrease its life.
