Has anyone ever written a How-to for a clutch install?

i'm trying to find one and i cant.. already searched

I don't know if there's any writeups on that but your best bet is to check out the 5-spd conversion "how-to".

Here are some instructions:

1)Jack up car

2)Remove wheels

3)Remove drive shafts

4)Unbolt and Remove tranny

5)Take off flywheel (can't remember if it's behind the clutch or not)

6)Take out old clutch

7)Insert new clutch

8)Put flywheel back on

9)Bolt tranny back up

10)Drive shafts back in

11)Wheels back on

12)Un jack car


And VIOLA! You've just changed your own clutch!

yea i watched skeelo do it to my car but there are so many bolts and what not. Someone should definitely do a write up on this with pictures. After watching, this is something i would try to do myself...under proper supervision....

oh, what's the average time this should take?

it took skeelo like 3-4 hours if i remember correctly but he's so used to taking that tranny out, its like second nature to him....

Ill try to do a write up but i wont have any pics but ill see what i can do i just did mine about a month ago, depending on where you live i can probably do it for you no charge. if your near MD,VA,DC,DE,NJ,PA,NY?

a write up is great.. i know the whole jist of the deal.. but i wanna know exactly what tools i need and what i should look out for..

u know.. stuff liek that
