I need to lower my max..question?

Hey whats up guys I'm new to this forum and I've had my 95 gxe auto for a couple months now. I've just recently put on 17' rims which makes my ride look so much better but the look just doesn't look complete because the wheel gap is like 2"+. Any suggestions on what kind of suspension mods I should do. I wanted to just get lowering springs but I heard that to change the springs you need new shocks also. Is this true? Any info is appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

You dont have to get new shocks but it is highly recommended. If you want it slammed, go with Sprints which are a 2 inch drop, but you will sacrifice suspension travel. I would go with Sprints or B&Gs with KYB AGXs, which are adjustable.

Re: I need to lower my max..question?

i have H & R springs and KYB AGX struts. i personally like this combo....it gives me about a 1.4" drop in the front and a 1.3" drop in the back. the ride is slightly rougher, but not too noticable. i think that if you're gonna lower it that you should definitely get new struts to handle the performance springs. the only deal with my setup is that it could be a little lower, but i'm happy. sprint springs give a 2.0" drop i think if you want to go a little lower.

Try using search function, here's a long thread same subject:

and another...

Also you can go to maximadriver.com, click on 'Mods' then 'Springs & Struts' (left icon on top row) and near the bottom it lists the spring options and disctance lowered...
