Speedomater gears

Are there any speedo gear kits available for the Maxima? I know for cars like the Mustang they have a few choices for speedometer gears, in case they get a different size tire, in order to keep the speedometer accurate and to adjust for any new size.

Do we have anything like that for the Maxima?

How else can a proper speedometer calibration be done?

Thanks!

There are no kits. But, I bet a Speedo shop could fix you up.

Doesn't the speedo work off of the Speed Sensor? And if it's a sensor and not a cable, there would be no way to change it's calibration.

The sensor is still driven off of a gear mounted to the ring gear in the diff. Changing this gear or the size of the gear on the sensor would change the speedo calibration.

Yes the speed sensor is in the transmission driven off the differential. However SeARCH would have come up with this

I tried search... used 'speedometer gears'... returned a lot of threads with speedometer and gears at opposite ends of the thread. Thanks.
