should this setup sound nice??
How loud/deep is this setup going to sound: Stillen intake w/ midpipe, stillen muffler, budget y pipe. It's pretty loud now w/o the y, I was just wondering if anyone is running those same mods and how it sounds. On an auto by the way.

the set-up isnt that bad except you should have gotton something other than a stillen intake and the still exhaust and even the muffler is known for sounding like rice, and giving off a very annoying sound, especially at cruising speeds

ok, so tell me this then, how would it sound if i put the stock muffler back on and sell the stillen one? cause personally I dont mind the sound of the muffler now, it doesnt sound like a honda and my intake overpowers it at wot anyways- but that would probably change w/ the y pipe. what would you guys do in my situation?

But if you wanted to go for looks as well as an agressive sounding exhaust, I'd go with the Greddy catback(about $600)This system is loud but deep unlike Stillen's ricey(bees in a can)sounding system. The greddy combined with the ypipe and the itake will gain like 20+whp. The y pipe will make it much louder too even at idle.

How hard is it gonna be to get rid of this muffler though?? And still get decent money back, cause I've had the stillen for about 2 weeks and I honestly dont want to get rid of the muffler- but I want as deep of a sound as possible which I dont think is going to happen anymore.

stillen muffler sounde real nice before i got the b-pipe and y-pipe. Now its deep but sometimes it sounds like fart. Usuall when i first start up the car and fifteen min after. I'm prolly gonna get rid of it and put stock one back on. And the JIm wolf intake gives a ptssssssssssssss sound around 2500~3500 rpm

ok i dont know why anyone would say itll sound like RICE. most of us will agree that maxima will never sound like rice since we have the 6 to back the noise and make it deeper than an annoying bumblebee riceboy.
as for the stillen components i dont think youll have a problem. doesnt matter what brand you get (with exception of the apexi ws which is known to be more subtle) an intake/y/catback combo is going to be hella loud.
WOT, from what i experience wont make the exhaust sound too loud, youll hear more engine noise and intake than anything. its when youre cruising at around 2500 that your muffler will drone and be loud. the exhaust is mad loud when youre revving low.
i recently had a friend comment that from another car he can hear my exhaust make a whistling noise between shifts.. interesting
