in the summer i might give it a month, but in the winter i'll give it 2months. until it's set up enough to use force and was i use Mequirs Final Inspection on it. It'll put on a light protection until you can wax it. Make sure to wipe off bird crap and any other stainfull things ASAP, because without adequate protection...

This applies w/ brand new cars as well right? What's the harm w/ waxing them right away?

After my accident I waited about 1 month before I put any wax on the car. The body shop told me to wait a month just to make sure everything is fully dried? I still am not sure why but my car looks spotless now having waited.

I hope this helps.

My friend told me that even though the paint is dry it will not be completly dry and that you have to wait and let the paint dry and get hard before u can put wax on it because the wax will kinda seal it so it wont dry right. i really dont know about waiting 2 months though, im in florida so its not really that mutch of a "winter"

ON the surface the paint seems dry but it's underneath where it really never dries. true wax would most likely prevent proper drying, but i would be more worried about damaging the paint with extensive force used during waxing. if you have a fresh paint job i wouldn't even put a car cover on it as just the light force of fabric on the paint could make an impression into the coat. i guess the conclusion here is that fresh paint is soft and impressionable.

Brand new cars are baked after painting which helps the paint dry a lot faster.

I've been told as much as 90 days in the late summer by a body shop.
They had me bring it back for a cut polish.

depending on what time of year it is and where your located somewhere between a month and 3 months. it wont hurt to be safe and wait closer to the three months if possible. you may be causing more damage to the paint by waxing it then by leaving it go for some extra times.

Definitely give it a couple of months. You want all of the solvents to rise out of the paint. If you wax it now your paint will get hazy especially on the fiberglass.

well I wouldn't worried about the byrd $hit right now. Ater 3 months when the paint is dry they will wet sand it then buff it and the paint will be smooth as a baby's @$$. At least thats what my frind did to my truck when I got my paint job.

so to answer your question I will say wait 3 months

Definitely. How did you solve the installation?
