I have a 95 SE with the keyless entry. The problem I have and i'm sure other people have is that you can't keep the car running and lock the doors. How gay is that. I want to be able to run into the store on a hot/cold day and let the car do it's thing. How can i disable this feature. Please help.

My 93 does the same thing BUT....
This is how I fool it. I pull into the spot...shut it off...take out the key....LOCK the doors(with it open) restart the car...shut the door.
However....since you have a keyfob you just locked it in the car
unless you
A. Have the second one
B. Unattach it
I DON'T have this problem because I have the keypad on the door so I can always get in.

the feature was designed to save your butt from being locked out of the car
with the motor running. Get a turbo timer instead. You dont need a key in the ignition to keep it running and should not interfere with the alarm so you can lock it and take the key with you. I think the highest i've seen it programmed was 20 or 25 min warm/cool but it depends on the manufacturer. Also after running the car hard you can leave on the motor for a few min to wait for your oil to cool. and you can impress other car fanatics by making them think that you have a turbo. hehehe =P
regardless this little unit is cheap <$100.00 and it will save you from bieng locked out with the motor running.
