need a quick answer on brake pad install

when i install the new pads where do i put the brake silencer goop. on the shim that is on top of the pad, or on the pad in between the shim and pad?? thanks..

Between the shim and the pad.

You should relube the caliper pins too. Those pins are what your cailper was bolted onto and need to slide freely. Use hi-temp grease.
