wierd lag when shifting

i have a 96 5 speed GXE and have about 75,000 miles....i recently been felling this wierd lag when i shift into 5th....like the car slightly jerks when i try to accelerate after my foot is off the clutch pedal...it only does it sometimes, but i don't know what is wrong...maybe my clutch is going( haven't changed clutch yet)??? PLEASE HELP...thank you

We have self-adjusting clutches that attempt to adjust constantly. However, when the clutch is wearing down too much for the self-adjusting mechanism to correct for it, weird clutch behaviour, usually in the form of a jerk after a shift is found. With 75,000 miles, it sounds about right that it's starting to wear. Depending on how you drive the car, you have about 2 months before it starts to slip in the higher gears.
