I might be getting new rims soon, do you guys think a 17x9 is too big in the rear or will it fit? Just want to try something different?

 

depends on the offset, but I would think no matter what it will rub, so the fenders will have to be rolled. I would be hesitant to put that wide a tire on the rear of a Max. To me it would be too easy for the back to loose traction in the wrong conditions and would fishtail.
