An auto WS6 should be a bit slower than the manual one, but regardless unless you're SC or have nitrous, you have no chance whatsoever. I run a 13.9 with my SC auto, even with that, a WS6 would still have no problem beating me easily. I know a guy with a Camaro SS which is similar in power to a WS6, he ran a 13.6 bone stock. That was his first time at the track, with more practice he could hit low 13s bone stock.

There is no way that thing has 8 cylinders! I have been in other camaros and firebirds and they dont even feel as fast as my car. The only difference between those cars and his car is that his car has those dumb scoops on them and that is about it.

That's Pontiac's webpage, scroll halfway down and read the engine options. You can read right? Clearly there is a 3.8 Liter V6 , and a 5.7 Liter V-8. And read closely that part about 325 hp w/ Ram Air. The WS6 is the Ram Air version.

And Camaros don't have supercharged V-6's. The WS6 firebird and SS Camaro are identical mechanically. Both have 5.7 Liter V-8's. And it's 340 ft/lb torque.

Mustang's are also V-6 or V-8. Corvette's are only V-8. You haven't stated any facts yet, everything you've said has been totally flatout wrong.

No they're not different. Same LS1 motors. The pre '98's were LT1 motors but both were 5.7 Liter V-8's. The '95-99 Maximas all have the same motor.

Read this, it's a road test of the '98 Firebird. Halfway down, it clearly states there's a 5.7L V8.

C'mon man. There is a world outside maximas you know. First of all, GM just started putting v8's in the 2003 and up firebirds to compete with the new mustange. The engine is called the MT2 in the firebird. Before 2003, ALL G Bodies (The camaro and the thunderbird for those who don't know) came with only a v6 generating 190 HP and 205 Torque. Those were the EXACT specs coming from edmunds.com. Believe me guys, i know what i am talking about. Probably alot more than any of you.

sorry, the specs were actually 200 HP and 225 torque. I was looking at the maxima POWER by accident. Acually, the camaro is the exact same car as the buick grand national, NOT the Firebird. My god, you are all so mixed up.

Um, firebirds and camaros are F-bodies. They are no longer in production after '03. I do read Camaro magazines and follow the news pretty frequently. And how can a Camaro and Thunderbird be related since a Camaro is made by GM and the Thunderbird is a Ford?

Clearly that is a '98 Pontiac Firebird. Clearly the specs say that there is a 5.7 Liter V8 in there and it makes 305 hp and that's not even the WS6 version with 20 more horses and Ram Air. If you can prove to me that Edmunds backs up anything you just wrote, I will give you $100.

Okay, let me put this in laymans terms. I guess i have to go through the WHOLE history for yous guys. AMG was getting eaten alive by mustange sales, and in 2003 when the new mustang srt-10 came out, AMG almost went out of business. They decided to put a new engine in their cars (The G BODYS). They invented an engine called the MT2, it is a rotory engine. I won't even go into the details. This engine did not hit production until 2003, and will not even be mass produced until late 2004. I hope that cleared up some info for some of you people, geez.

BTW this engine is kinda of similar to the HEMI's that pontiac used back in the muscle car age. The buick grand nationals (The 2003 one) shares the AMG MT2 also, alond with the camero and the F Bird.
