I'm pretty sure it's just really sticky double-sided tape.

Yes

Yes there are holes under the that side panel. I know this because mine recently fell off somehow. However, there is also a substantial amount of double sided tape. My suggestion would be that you dont take it off because even if you do get the tape/sticky substance clear, it will look odd. It leaves a noticable indentation.

I plan on removing mine when I get my car painted. Yes it has holes and will need to be filled, sanded and painted.

I removed my pieces on the side. My suggestion is don't do it! It took me forever to fiberglass it in and to get it right finally. There is a valley underneath the rubber (the metal is indented inward) and there are holes periodically. There is also double sided tape. I will never do it again.

i usually don't like those wings in person but i don't mind seeing them every now n then. i'm a big fan of that blue, seems like more and more people have it every month but it's still awesome! lets see some more pics of the car.

The wing was taken off last week and I am thinking about getting a wing similar to the skyline R-34's. After all is done all there is on the sides is one line, the body line. I guess that could be taken off too. It would probably be a lot easier in hind sight.

UNC,

That car is beautiful! I actually got to sit in the actual "KIT" from the 80's, back when I was 7, yea that was awhile ago. Does your dad have an operational "Kit" voice (a.k.a. Mr. Pheenie)? How 'bout buttons? Do any of them work? Oh man I would love a ride in that!

That's why we welded a plate over everything. It still took forever to get it all even, but it's better than fiberglass.

Thanks man. This is only the first couple of times that I have posted on the org. I have been reading the sites since I got my max a year ago. Hey shadow, I saw you in greenville a couple of weeks ago. My car used to be tan when I saw you in Daytona.

Thanks. My dad has put a LOT of time and money into that car. My dad has actual close up pics of one of the many cars used in the series. But each button will have a function for something.

hahaha. thats what i told him but he said this ride is gonna be 'all show and no go'. but every other button will either perform an action (i.e. trunk release, w/s wipers etc.) or say a phrase using the actual KITT voice aka Mr. Feenie. lol

but who knows what the boost button will do when I get the car.
