Plugs turning but will not come out.

Ok guys, here is the issue.

I went to change my plaugs the other day and 5 went fine. Here is the problem with one of them. If is one the front bank on the right hand side.

I went to remove it and it just keeps turning. It never comes out, but if I go to retighten it , it will continue turning in the other direction for ever as well. i dont know if it stripped somehow or what because I never over tighten them.

Now is there anyway that someone can tell me to get it out or a certain tool that might be usefull?

Thanks

SuDZ

Uh oh. Sounds like you stripped the head threads. Odd that it doesn't come out though. If you were lucky, maybe you just broke the porcelin(sp) part of another part of the plug and it's just turning.

Any idea how to get it out?

You had better find out exactly what's going on. ie.. sticking a flashlight down there and see what's up with the plug. Good thing it's on the front side

If the plug is still in one piece, you could try using a heater hose to squeeze on the top part. Then you can try turning and pulling at the same time.

Good luck.

A heater hose? You mean just like automotove hosing?

Check your socket carefully. Maybe something got stuck in there. Also, shine a bright light onto the plug. Maybe there's something sitting in the tunnel that's preventing the tool from getting a hold of the plug. Once I had the rubber thingy inside the spark plug tool get stuck on the plug. I used another sprk plug tool and it would never catch.

Yep, Haynes manual recommends using a hose to put new plugs in to get them started. Don't see why it wouldn't work the other way as well if the plug is already loosened.
