AC/Heat Blower - Not working in positions 1,2,3,4

Hello all,

My blower stopped working this morning on my '97 SE. I did my due diligence before posting this message and therefore I've seen all the posts about the resistor dieing. However, all of the messages say that the blower should still work in position 4 (no resistance). Well, I'm happy to report that my blower does NOT work in any of the 4 positions. I did notice a fluttering sound in the air duct for the past couple of days. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it or not.

Any ideas what could have failed? Am I looking at something for the home mechanic or should I have a pro do the work?

Thanks for the help,

Phil

Either your blower motor quit, the fuse blew or something got caught in the fan itself. Check the fuse first, if thats OK take the blower down and see if it's caugh on some leaves or twigs.
