I found the perfect exhaust!

Okay, just got my custom exhaust done, here is the break down.

The y-pipe consists of twin 2" pipes welded to the stock Nissan flange and 02 bunges. They meet into a 2.5" diameter, 8" flex pipe then goes through a carsound cat, 18" resonator, then through a Magnaflow muffler, 14827.

http://www.magnaflow.com/03mirrorstreet.htm

The tip tucks perfect under the bumper. The 3rd 02 was welded to the back of the new cat, all stock hanger were used, but were replaced with metal ones so the exhaust is more rigid.

Now for the best part. It has NO resonation, anywhere in the powerband, under any load. Crusing on the highway or at idle with the windows up, can't hear the motor. Out side the car at idle, normal driving, or WOT, its a deeper sound, no beez in the can, actually the fist thing that came to mind was "Am I driving a Supra TT with exhaust?" That how it sounds.

The full 2.5" exhaust didn't change the SOTP torque, but it did of course helps up top. 3rd gear with the MEVI and the new exhaust is pretty sick

All for $625 and 6 hours work

Pics to come.

Are most Y-pipes two 2" pipes into one 2.5" or are most 2.5" throughout the whole Y?

I don't see a B pipe mentioned. Is it still the stock B pipe?

The b pipe was built also.

I wish I had a Supra TT, the guy at the shop before me had a 94 single turbo converstion that just had a single 3.5" exhaust all the way back

My car seriously sounds very close to that one at idle and crusing.

What are the expected HP gains (at crank and wheel) for this setup?

actually the pipes that come off the manifolds are NOT 2.5in...more like 2 in...then the collector, and flex is 2.5in.
