Nissan Maxima Intake Sensor Mod

I have a '95 SE. Will a Nissan Maxima Intake Sensor Mod give me better performance. I've seen one on-line for $1.00. What is it and what does it do? The ad says it will give me 20 extra hp. Is it worth buying? If not, what else can I use?

Thanks.

be nice to newbies...we all have our moments.

tonymich, all things like that on ebay are crap. especially things like that, tornado air, and those electric turbo chargers. next time search, for example "intake sensor mod" and you'll probably find your answer. sorry people on here are mean to newcomers, not all of us are bad though.
there might be ways to trick your ecu or to make it think it's running cooler air but you won't really find any huge gains from anything like that.
