I saw the custommaxima.com dual exhaust setup the other day

Cory aka Redmax stopped by our usual hangout on Friday night The kit looks great. I hope my rear bumper goes on without too much fuss. Just for you guys, I got myself alittle dirty to check out what it looked like underneath the car. The piping looked to be aleast 2.5". I couldn't tell if it was SS or aluminized. It was mandrel bent and the welds looked good. It was pretty much like an Accord V6 setup without the second muffler. Yes...there was only one flowmaster muffler. I couldn't see the muffler from the back of the car unless I was at ground level. Overall it's a nice setup if you plan on getting the skyline bumper with dual cutouts.

Thanks 1MAXINV-owner. What about if we don't get the kit? You think it will hang too low?

I don't think you have anything to worry as for clearance issue. You will have more clearance problem with Stillen or Greddy. Custommaxima.com dual setup, there are only tips at the back. The muffler is a really short and flat flowmaster. I don't even think the left exhaust is even muffled at all. The dual split point occurs where bpipe meets the rear section. I wonder if you can even pass inspection with one side not being muffled.

I hope it's cheaper than Apexi or Greddy. It wouldn't be too hard to duplicate for a good exhaust shop.

are you saying that the second exhaust breaks off before the muffler?

Would this work without a rear body kit or would it look like you had one muffler and one straight pipe?

I have no idea what it would look like under the OEM bumper. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

That's basically my setup, cept my dual pipe hooks into my muffler and not the b-pipe.

Just FYI guys, an exhaust shop can custom fabricate you a catback dual exhaust system for $340-400 if you provide the muffler, which would be a camaro style 40 series flowmasters with an inlet and dual outlets. It wouldn't be mandrel bent, but a catback yeilds minimal gains anyways. But if the $$ you'd spend on mandrel bending is worth the +1.5hp over pipe bent, go for it.

Not as loud as my Stillen at idle, but I have no idea what it sounds like at WOT.
