Strange Idle
Strange Idle
I have a 5spd, SC, and HKS twin ignition system...
Whenever I start the car the idle jumps to 1500 and stays that way for maybe 5 mins and then only after, does it go to 700rpm, is this normal?

i recently reset my ecu... now my car idles very very low (500) even on cold starts.. takes me a while to get it starting in the morning when its cold. i have to manually bring the idle up to 1000 with the accelterator because my ecu wont tell the car to warm up... is this normal after reseting the ecu
thanks
thanks

ecu prob too
I had the exact same thing happen to me last night. i changed by brakes with Raybestoes Qs pads.
Then i reset the ecu and the car hardly stays running.. i got the code
9long 8short & 1long 3short. there both the same :Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.
I reset it again and it still idles at 300 rpms. why? why? why?
I reset it again after driving it for a while again.
And Again 300 RPM IDLE.NOT GOOD For premium cars.
It Actually died once and stutterers before moving when it idles this low. why. the Car was fine.
p.s. the engine light is now off. when i checked it again last night i got 5long / 5short : which is undefined/reset ecu.
HELP MDUB's MAXIMA... please guys.
