I have a 98 SE. To install an after market head unit the haynes manual recomends that you disable the SRS. Did that and when I was done the light blinks. I already checked the fuse it's fine. Help.

 

Hmm not exactly sure, but when it comes to air bags, I wouldn't mess around. Take it to a dealer IMO, probably something to reset or something.

 

you probably just triped the computer when you disconected the airbag. There is a way to reset it using the dome light switch on the driver side, but you need to ask someone with a FSM to tell you how to do it. If its a problem the light will just come back on again and then you should take it to the dealer.

Mine is on and i cant afford to take to a dealer so i just put some electrical tape over it(but i dont recommend that get it fixed if you can)

 

open drivers side door.. put key to "on" position, don't start the car.. press the door sensor (little black number where door contacts car) 5-7 times and then turn the key off.. i think the dome light is supposed to flash a couple times after you do it if done right, but i could be wrong on that.. i've had to do it 3 or 4 times and finally stopped worrying.

mine does it because i put i30t seats in.
