Installed my leather interior! Pics!
muahahaha... I finally have my leather interior. I'm SOOOO happy
I installed my leather seats today, and my black Wheelskin yesterday. I installed my vinyl door inserts (almost look leather) last week.
The installation of the seats was really easy. My new passenger seat is power - my old one was not. I found that there was a power harness already under that seat though, so I just plugged the new seat in. Voila! Two working leather power seats. The guy I bought them from claims they are heated, but I am not sure. How would I find out if they really are or not?
The top part of the back seat was kind of hard to get out too, but after wrestling with it for a little bit it popped out of its hinges.
The Wheelskin was a pain in the A$$ and I would NEVER do it again. It took almost 3 1/2 hours to put on, and I made my hands hurt even wearing a glove on one hand. Even though it looks and feels good, I would still not buy one again.
The leather is going to take some getting used to. It feels like I am going to do some sliding when I go around corners. But it looks so good!
You can see the pics at my web page http://www.cardomain.com/id/swcello on page 4 and 5.

Damn, my Wheelskins cover only took me about 1 hour to put on. I had bloody fingers too, but it wasnt too bad overall.
Also, how did you do the vinyl doors? Did you take off the cloth, or just put the vinyl over it? Did you take the piece off of the door to re-cover it, or leave it attached?

I just put the vinyl right over the cloth, and left the whole door intact while I did so.

Now... here is how I justify paying what I did:
I probably could have bought the leather from leatherseats.com for less, but it would not have been heated and the passenger seat would not have been power.
So there.

I know y'all are going to yell at me, because I paid too much for the seats. BUT I AM HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE and I don't care what you say and you can't make me sad about it ... I bought them on eBay for $630 (after talking on the phone, the final price went up to $700 w/ shipping. Shipping was originally almost $140 additional)

Yea, I am really surprised how new the leather looks. There are no wrinkles in it and it is super clean. The Max it was taken out of must have been wrecked when it was pretty new.

THAT DOESNT JUSTIFY YOUR ACTIONS!!! F*CK EBAY, maxima.org is your friend. There are always 1 or 2 people selling black leather seats off their cars for less than 500 dollars. Just a little patience and proper searching and u could have saved a good 200 dollars, that's a y-pipe right there!

Mine is '98 leather.
however,
there was a difference between the leather in all other 4th gen years and 99... only on the SE-Limited.
It was perforated.
I'm looking for black leather as well
but for about 1/2 that price
