If you had access to used parts for your maxima what would you buy? Also would you buy a used knock sensor for 75 dollars if it had a money back guarantee or would you just buy a new one? Just curious.

 

Used parts? I'd get used trannies and engines for rebuild projects if the prices were good enough. And everything else would be on a need to repair basis, i.e. valaves, sensors, pumps, motors, etc. even body panels.

 

Strip em for anything you can get. You can always sell or use it eventually.

The reason I ask is cause I found a place in long beach that carries used nissan and infiniti parts. I'm in the need for the infamous knock sensor so the guy gave me a quote for $75. Then I got to thinking what other things might I need and thus I started this thread to get some ideas.

Next time I go I will see if I can get a quote for a 5 speed transmission as well. Good idea.
