I went to Nissan today cause my A/C went out. I know it's winter but so what i still need to fix it. They said that i need a new compressor, and it would cost $240 just for the part. Then they told me they would do the labor for $60 and free-on cost $10 a pound. So all together i'm looking at a lil over $300. Does this see normal or high to anyone? Thanks.

Actually that sounds very cheap.

That sounds VERY cheap. I thought the Nissan air compressor was like $600-700.

THat is dirt cheap.

I had to replace mine, and it would have cost 800. That's why I got the extended warranty. All it cost was 50 bones!

My dad's friend is a mechanic at Nissan down here in N.O., and he does side work for us so i knew the labor would be cheap. I just thought the compressor was a lil high, but I feel good now thanks.

I got a good compressor if you want it...
$120 shipped... If you installed it yourself all you would be looking at is the freon... (you would want to buy new rings though before putting it in)
