dealership find me a max?

some loser totaled my 93 se at a stoplight and im in the market for another max

do you guys think i have a chance of having my local dealer find me a '96/'97 max se 5spd black on black with average mileage? for under 9000 with markup? i think kbb has a trade in of ~5600

and if they can find it, how long should it take? looking to buy soon

does anyone know what dealer markup should be about on a car like that?

thanks alot

that first so called "96" maxima SE is a keeper...9 grand, 35k miles, 5spd, good condition...best of all, its really not a 96...its a 97+....the front end signifies that it is a 97+ (unless its been in an accident and they swapped for 97+ bumpers), the SE rims are only available on 97+, again might have swapped them on...looks like a thumbs up from me on that one

My car. Stay away! =)

I'm heading over there tomorrow. I kid you not, I live nearby and happened to find the same car one autotrader today.

Then saw this thread, imagine my suprise. I really hope it's actually as nice as it looks.

Or maybe not...

I asked someone to carfax (BTW - Carfax will only give you the unlimited report deal once every 6 months. I found that out this morning.) it earlier today. Just got the results in email...

The damn thing had to odo rolled back buy 6k miles between 98-00 and it has a salvage title listed for the *Maryland* MVD of Illinois??? Considering the rest of the car history is up and down the east coast and IL is one few states that list stolen cars as salvage, things are very fishy. To top it off, the dealer's autotrader hosted website states their cars are pre-carfaxed.

http://www.autotrader.com/dealers/vi...name=panamauto

Make sense considering the price is about 2k below value.

What a disappointment.
