hey bro, i was actually in the group deal for the straight pipe (test pipe) from custom maxima's website, i bought it for 50 shipped...i think the group deal is over but he might let a few people slide in....

anyway, this is ONLY for 97+ maxima's. As far as causing problems to car? i have seen NO problems, but if you have a bees in a can sound now, prepare to have it sound twice as worst in certain occassions...

this pipe doesn't increase sound of exhaust by much at all which is good. As far as power gains, it is not up to 15 hp. Maybe 5-10, i feel power but not like y-pipe power...more like when i had my intake put on power...its hard to say but car just feels smoother...if u r in a high gear in a low rpm, normally car would choke up or something but now it just slowly accelerates but faster than before...you feel the extra power most when u r in this situation, whether climbing hills at too high of a gear or soemthing...

the gains come most when you have the rest of your exhaust work done...i have a y-pipe, and a custom catback so i may experience more gains than others but i think its worth it for the 50 shipped i paid in the groupdeal...at 100, i would say so so, but if you can get in on the group deal, i RECOMMEnd getting it for that great price...

$100.00 GEEZ thats a lot of money for a piece of polished or normal fence pipe.

You can buy one for $27.00 from www.warpspeedperfomance.com something like that. That's how much I paid for my Test pipe. As far as big gains if your boosted you will notice the big gain. NA ask one of the other guys that have one to post the gain. I know youll lose some low end torque for sure but get it back on top.

?? i don't feel any loss at low end....i feel increases in certain places, the best way to say it is that its a SMOOTHER RIDE....if you are a 5 speed, it just feels much smoother...that's the experience i've seen, it gives you extra power in places where its actually a disadvantage to have a 5 speed which actually aren't much but i don't know, i DO feel a slight difference now than when i didn't have it...

I had my test pipe put in, well it's not a straght pipe per se' it's actually a 12" resonator, but before my y-pipe it seemed to make a difference but after, nothing, I think a y-pipe alone would do the job a lot better noise and powerwise.
