Ok. First off, I installed NX about 4 months ago and never adjusted my spark plug gap before now. BTW, I also have Y and CAI. So my MIL has been on for like at least a half year now and for the reason of HP increase I finally decided to change the gap in my spark plugs to a difference of -.003. My MIL has been blinking the EVAP and I just ignored it. Since I adjusted my plugs, the MIL is gone. That's weird. The reason I was changing the gap is b/c of a lack in performance, b/c I felt a lack even before I installed the NX. So, while changing them, I discovered that the little spark plug seal (the little condom with a hole in it looking thing that's above the spark plug in the cylinder head) or whatever it's called is blown on the inside bank on the plug closest to the intake (it's gone!). Now I have to replace that gasket, the intake gasket, and whatever else (I haven't looked) and it's gonna cost me about 200 with work (from my mechanic who's cheap). I am wondering would all of this cause a loss in performance? Should I have a loss in compression maybe? My plugs looked OK except for the one with the oil, apparently from me taking the coil out to look at it with all of the oil coming out on top of it. If anyone has any insight to this I really appreciate it. Thanks, Joseph
