Need Help with Autometer electirc Oil Pressure Gauge

Is there an adapter that is needed in order to use the oil pressure sending unit that autometer provides? I think it might be part # 2269, but I'm not sure. I tried getting the autometer unit on, but didn't have any luck. Any help or past experience with this gauge would be appreciated.
Edit: Is it necessary to use both the OEM and Autometer sending units, or can I just use the Autometer? I know the oil pressure light will come on, but I think I'll just pull that bulb. As long as I know what my oil pressure is (and that it's not dipping below 10-12 psi) I should be OK, right?

I installed my Autometer electrical oil pressure gauges, and I removed the stock sending unit. When you remove the stock one, the oil will not come on. Also when I mounted a the Autometer sending unit, I had to use standard to metric adapter. Since the threads on the sending unit are standard, and the ones in the block are metric. I bought this thread adapter at Autozone, for like 4 bucks.

Hope this helps.

You need a 1/8"NPT to 1/8" BSPT adaptor. You can get it from autometer. I didn't know they sell it at autozone, but if it's $4 there. It's much cheaper then.
